CHOPSTICKS AURA
DESIGN CONCEPT
Chopstick Aura is a showroom designed to embody the Sumo Collection by Living Divani, conceived by Piero Lissoni—a series that celebrates balance, proportion, and quiet strength. The collection’s sculptural minimalism and subtle tension between fullness and lightness became our point of departure.
To translate this philosophy spatially, we envisioned the showroom through a Japandi lens—where line, light, and material coexist in pure harmony. Clean architectural geometry frames the furniture like calligraphy on an untouched page. Natural wood, diffused light, and muted textures compose an atmosphere that mirrors the Sumo pieces’ quiet confidence and disciplined form.
Chopstick Aura becomes more than a display—it is an aura of stillness and precision, a place where design is not showcased, but experienced as balance itself
WALKTHROUGH
Following the design concept, every architectural element in Chopstick Aura was composed to reflect the spirit of the Sumo Collection. The paneled wooden ceiling echoes the furniture’s refined geometry—its rhythm inspired by the slender, poised legs of the pieces.
Along the walls, we created the illusion of natural light softly radiating through rectangular wooden partitions, translating the collection’s balance of lightness and structure into space. In one corner of the showroom, a leafless raw tree stands quietly—a poetic nod to wabi-sabi, revealing the beauty of age and imperfection rather than bloom.
Underfoot, micro-cement flooring grounds the space in raw honesty, allowing texture, form, and light to take center stage. Together, these details compose a setting of serene precision, where Living Divani’s Sumo Collection finds its perfect harmony between strength and stillness.
