CUBIC FONDS

DESIGN CONCEPT

This project draws its soul from the Cubist art movement—a revolution that redefined how form, perspective, and rhythm coexist. Just as Cubism broke subjects apart to rebuild them in new dimensions, we sought to reinterpret space through fragmentation and abstraction.

Lines became sharper, edges more deliberate. From architectural details to furniture silhouettes, every element was designed as part of a composition—analyzed, broken, and reassembled into harmony. The result is a space that feels dynamic yet controlled, modern yet deeply artistic—a spatial translation of Cubism’s timeless pursuit: to see beauty not as whole, but as a collection of perfectly balanced fragments.

WALKTHROUGH

Translating the Cubist spirit into space, we treated every element as a fragment in motion—an angle, a rhythm, a shift in perception. The Horizonte modular sofa by Minotti embodied this perfectly; neither L-shaped nor linear, its faceted form mirrored the geometry of Cubist art.

Throughout the interior, sharpness became language. The stair risers and runners were designed on 45-degree angles, breaking from convention to create visual tension and flow. Even in the guest bathroom, the sink offset from the marble shelf introduced a subtle distortion—intentional and poetic.

Wherever the opportunity arose, we allowed the lines to fracture and realign, composing a space that feels sculpted rather than built—a living abstraction of balance and movement.
