KELLY’S CRIB
DESIGN CONCEPT
This project was born from the spirit of its owners—a young couple whose warmth and quiet excitement suggest a life of adventure, not always visible at first glance. We wanted the space to reflect that duality: restrained yet spirited, composed yet curious.
Guided by our design philosophy, we built a luxurious, warm canvas that holds room for eccentricity to unfold. The walls are wrapped in an almost invisible wallpaper, mistaken easily for paint, while light beige oak cladding forms a calm, grounding base—our neutral stage.
Then, the playful notes emerge. A curated selection of art—vivid, naïve, and joyful, as if drawn by a child—spills across walls and even hangs from the ceiling, layering movement into stillness. A small orange lamp and burnt-orange piping on an off-white sofa carry the rhythm forward, subtle yet uplifting.
Together, these gestures compose a home that hums with quiet luxury and gentle surprise—a symphony of innocence and sophistication, played in perfect balance.
WALKTHROUGH
Stepping into Kelly's Crib, the space feels warm and effortless. Natural light washes over soft beige walls and oak flooring, creating an immediate sense of calm.
The living area opens with generous seating—soft upholstery and clean silhouettes that set a tone of relaxed sophistication. Textures stay quiet; comfort takes the lead. Sculptural tables in wood and stone add tactile depth and ground the space.
In the dining zone, the palette warms. Burnt-orange chairs bring character, drawing attention to the dining table as the social heart. Overhead, a contemporary fixture floats like a graphic installation—refining the dialogue between furniture and art.
Playful artworks pulse with color, balancing the calm architecture with emotional energy. They introduce a spontaneous, human touch.
Minimal black accents guide the visual narrative, connecting spaces without interrupting the serenity.
Kelly's Crib unfolds as a harmony of mood, material, and spirit.
MATERIAL SELECTION
The material palette was composed as a study in contrast—luxury meeting warmth, and playfulness meeting restraint.
A patterned dialogue between Verde marble and Bianco Spino replaces the conventional slab approach, expressing both sophistication and spontaneity. The same marble language continues subtly throughout:
Calacatta Viola enriches the master bathroom, while the guest wash basin carries the same sculptural refinement.
To temper the coolness of stone, light oak wood and bouclé upholstery introduce texture and comfort. In the vestibule, the Minotti Pilot console adds a precise, contemporary note—an intentional pause in the symphony.
The interplay between marble, wood, stainless steel, linen wallpaper, and bouclé creates a composition that feels opulent yet deeply inviting—a space where tactile warmth and quiet luxury coexist in perfect rhythm.
FURNITURE DESIGN
In KELLY’S CRIB, furniture and artwork together to create a space that feels warm, modern, and effortlessly livable. Soft lounge seating and clean-lined tables ground the interior with calm, while oak wood, light beige walls, and subtle black accents
create a refined architectural backdrop.
The burnt-orange dining chairs introduce a burst of energy — a confident contrast that animates the palette without overwhelming it. Playful, expressive artworks bring character and storytelling; their bold colors and hand-drawn aesthetic add a human, lighthearted spirit to the otherwise serene materiality.
Every piece — furniture, artwork, finishes — feels intentionally placed. In KELLY’S CRIB, nothing is just selected, it’s orchestrated into harmony.
