LOOSE ENDS
DESIGN CONCEPT
inspired by a young couple on the verge of marriage, this project draws meaning from the poetry of beginnings. Between tying the knot and loose ends, we found our story—a celebration of what starts yet never truly ends.

The concept of Loose Ends became a metaphor for continuity, love, and imperfection. Every element was designed to have a beginning but no end: flowing lines, soft transitions, and asymmetric compositions that broke away from predictability.

Though rooted in a minimal modern style, the asymmetry infused depth, warmth, and emotion—turning simplicity into character. From wall and ceiling details to furniture silhouettes, every piece joined this rhythm, creating a space that feels harmonious, rich, and alive—a timeless reflection of two lives intertwining.
Material Selection
In Loose Ends, restraint became our language. We limited the palette to a few honest materials, allowing texture and tone to carry emotion. Bright oak wood defined the space—its warmth flowing through the flooring, wall cladding, and bespoke furniture pieces. Subtle black and grey oak finishes introduced just enough contrast to shape the rhythm.
For softness, we paired creamy and black genuine leather with a cotton–linen blend, merging tactile comfort with quiet sophistication. Together, these materials created a harmony of luxury and ease—a space that feels both grounded and poetic, true to Candy Clan’s belief that simplicity, when composed with intention, can feel symphonic.
Walkthrough
Every detail in Loose Ends was conceived to express continuity without closure—a composition of beginnings that never resolve.
The wooden wall cladding rises from the floor yet stops short of the ceiling, and never spans wall to wall—its restraint intentional, creating visual pauses rather than full stops. The TV unit follows the same principle, floating asymmetrically in balance. Even the kitchen backsplash ends before reaching the upper cabinets, keeping the rhythm open and free.
This language extends to the furniture: an L-shaped sofa by B&B Italia with one armrest noticeably larger than the other, another with only a single armrest—a play on proportion and incompleteness. Dining chairs by Cattelan Italia and Mammoth armchairs carry the dialogue forward, blending form and comfort.
Depth and layering became essential instruments. Kitchen cabinets vary in three depths, while coffee tables overlap at different heights, and even the carpets shift and intersect to reinforce movement. Nothing aligns too perfectly—each element seems to reach out, to begin again.
